Recent Federal regulation changes require that we stop offering overdraft protection as currently available. An overdraft occurs when there isn’t suffi cient money in your account to cover a transaction, and we still pay that transaction. Although the majority of our members do not overdraw their accounts, circumstances and
simple mistakes can happen and overdrafts do occur.
New Federal Regulation effective August 15, 2010 (for current members) and July 1, 2010 (for new members). In compliance with the new regulations, effective August 15, 2010, DVA Federal Credit Union will no longer offer overdraft protection on ATM and one-time debt card transactions unless you select the coverage.
Action Required
Your action is required to continue your current overdraft protection. If you do not choose our overdraft protection option, your ATM and Debit Card transactions that exceed your available balance may be declined.
